Captain of the 1949 Ranger baseball team, Jerry Lastelick not only lettered for three years in both baseball and basketball, he also did a lot of yelling while at Jesuit for Lastelick was also a cheerleader for three years.
A four-year member of the Texas A&M baseball program, and three-year Aggie starter, Lastelick was part of a team that finished fifth at the 1951 College World Series. Lastelick, who served as a lietenant in the U.S. Army from 1953-55, played on the Arlington Hall military team that won the Middle Atlantic Inter-Service Athletic Conference baseball championship in 1954.
