Palisch struck out seven and allowed just four hits and zero walks in seven innings of work, where he threw just 72 pitches. The Rangers now advance to the third round of the UIL 6A Baseball Playoffs, the regional quarterfinals, where they will face Highland Park. Details and schedule for the Highland Park series will be released on this site soon.
In Game 3, Jesuit jumped on the board early when senior
Nic Ready clocked a three run homer to left field in the top of the first inning, scoring
Darius Hill and
Kyle Muller. The Rangers scored again in the second when
Cameron Dobbs was plated by a Hill single, then added a tally in the third on a
Bryce Bonner single.
Jesuit won
Game 1 of the series 1-0 thanks to a complete game shutout by senior
Harrison Folk. Rowlett took
Game 2, also by a score of 1-0, despite an impressive complete game outing by Muller. The offense came alive in Saturday's Game 3 to push the Rangers to the next round.
Jesuit will play Highland Park in the regional quarterfinals, and more information will be posted here when it becomes available.
