Lark earned a berth in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A State Tournament by finishing second in the pole vault. The junior cleared the 15'6'' mark, besting vaulters from Houston Stratford and J.J. Pearce to earn the state bid. Lark is the first Ranger to make the state tournament field since Andrew Pott in 2014, and the first field athlete to make a run to state since 2013.
