Hummel recorded five tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception to help Jesuit Dallas secure its first shutout since 2015 with a 42-0 win over Plano West on Saturday, September 22. The junior contributed to a defense that held Plano West to 96 yards rushing and 74 yards punting, securing an interception deep in Plano West territory that led to a Jesuit touchdown. Hummel additionally earned Dallas Morning News weekly honorable mention honors.
