Senior swimmer Will McKinney set a new program record in the 500 free as part of Jesuit's 215-97 win over Highland Park on Nov. 10. McKinney swam a 4:39.09 in the 500 free, narrowly edging the previous program record of 4:39.72, recorded by all-state swimmer Brendan Feehery '16 in 2015. The Boston College commit opened his impressive swim with a trio of 50-yard splits under 28 seconds, staying between the 28-29 second mark for a majority of the race before racing home for a 26.61 split in the final 50 yards of the race. McKinney won the event by 30 seconds and etched his name into the Jesuit Dallas record book to continue an impressive career which included a state qualification in the 200 I.M. last spring.
