Fitzgerald has opened the 2021 season with back-to-back stellar performances. In the season opener against Flower Mound Marcus, Fitzgerald was an all-around contributor to Jesuit's season-opening win, leading the team in rushing with 72 yards and two touchdowns. A two-way player, Fitzgerald also recorded three tackles and two pass breakups, tacking on three punts for 132 yards and two punt returns for 31 yards. Against Rockwall, Fitzgerald caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, adding seven tackles on the defensive side of the ball.
