O'Neill posted a personal-best 15:04.82 en route to a sixth-place finish at the 2016 University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A State Championship on Saturday. His third straight appearance at state and second consecutive UIL All-State designation, O'Neill closed an incredible season which included four individual victories, seven top-five finishes and his third straight UIL District 9-6A Individual Championship.
