Okamoto threw a no-hitter in the first start of his varsity career, propelling the Rangers to a 10-0 win over MacArthur at the 2017 Cen-Tex Tournament in Austin, Texas. Out of the 16 batters Okamoto faced, the senior forced 10 groundouts, tacking on a strikeout during a dominant performance that sparked a Jesuit Saturday sweep.
