The Rangers secured an 8-7 win over L.D. Bell on Saturday, ending the Blue Raiders' unbeaten start to the season while securing a critical win in the Texas High School Bowling Association (THSBA) standings heading into the homestretch of the 2017-18 season. Trailing by a point after match play, Jesuit came storming back in the baker games to capture its third win in five games.

Jack Corrales set the tone early for the Rangers, scoring Jesuit's first point with a 312-267 win in his dual match against Austin Bronson and Ben Herald. Corrales rolled a 157 to defeat Bronson in the first game, cruising to a 155-114 victory in game two. Senior
Garrett Spivey tacked on a 313-254 win over the Raiders' Trey McGovern to pick up Jesuit's second match point. Junior Austin Montpas dropped his dual match despite rolling a team-high 179 in the second game.

Trailing by three points heading into the second half of the match, the Rangers began the rally with a three-pin victory in the first baker game, earning the two points with a 138-136 win. Jesuit captured the second baker game, 178-149 and, despite losing the third, captured the total pin count by seven pins for the tie-breaking final point and the victory.

Jesuit Dallas will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 30.against Nimitz. Set to take place at USA Bowl, the showdown between league rivals will begin at 6:30 p.m.
