The Jesuit Dallas bowling team opened the season with two dual matches over a four-day span, earning victories over Nimitz and Flower Mound Marcus to begin the 2018-19 season with a 2-0 record. The Rangers handled the Vikings, 14-1 in the season-opener on November 3 before a big led was enough to usher Jesuit past the Marauders, 8-7, on Tuesday at USA Bowl.

A resounding performance from the Jesuit bowling squad sparked the Blue and Gold to an 8-7 victory over Flower Mound Marcus on Tuesday at USA Bowl. The Rangers scored a 6-1 advantage after match play and were able to hold on down the stretch against a determined Marauder rally to improve their record to 2-0 on the season.

Senior
Austin Montpas rolled a team-leading 235 in the nightcap of match play to finish the two-game set averaging a 210. Montpas opened the second game with five consecutive strikes, closing out the nightcap with a hambone during the ninth and tenth frame. Freshman
Hayden Montpas impressed with a pair of 200 games, scoring a 201 in game one and a 211 in game two to score a victory in match play. Hayden racked up a turkey in the middle of game two, totaling 17 marks over the two games.

Junior and reigning Ranger of the Week
Jack Corrales continued his strong start to the season with a 191 and 218, averaging a 204.5 to score a dominant win at No. 5 singles. Corrales rolled another turkey in the second game and converted a mark in eight straight frames en route to the strong finish. Junior
Matthew Vincent scored Jesuit's fourth dual match point with a 361 total score, highlighted by a 191 in the second game that saw Vincent rack up nine marks and five strikes.

Marcus scored a win in the first baker game to close the gap on the Ranger lead. The team of senior Parker Lening, Vincent, Corrales and the Montpas brothers were able to shut the door on the Marauders in the second baker, scoring a 197-143 win in the second baker sparked by marks in nine straight frames,

The junior varsity team scored a 9-6 win, anchored by a 283 two-game series by
Jack Holloran.
Will Mina scored a career-best 123,
Victor Martinez added a career-high 116 and
Will Risinger debuted with a 133 to aid the Jesuit effort. Martinez, Mina, Risinger,

Silas Hartman teamed for a 123 in baker to clinch the win and move the junior varsity team to a 2-0 record.

Jesuit erupted for a season-opening, 14-1 win over Nimitz on Saturday at the AMF Spare Time Lanes in Arlington, Texas. The Rangers scored four match play wins before sweeping their way through baker to score a decisive victory to open the year.

Jack Corrales broke out of the gate for a 387 series, sparked by a 203 season-opening game. Corrales rolled four consecutive strikes to open the 2018-19 campaign, winning the first game by 124 pins. Senior
Bryce Clark averaged a 141 en route to a match play victory, junior Jack Halloran and senior Parker Leining teamed up for a 232-161 win at No. 2 singles, and freshman
Hayden Montpas rolled a 142 and 155 en route to a 51-pin win.

In baker games, the Rangers took an early advantage with a 31-pin victory in the first game. Jesuit improved upon the lead with a 179-143 win in game two before edging Nimitz, 145-144 in the final game to complete the baker sweep while winning the aggregate pin total, 480-412.
