The Jesuit Dallas bowling team inched closer to a Texas High School Bowling Association (THSBA) DFW Central division title with a 10-5 victory over Nimitz on Tuesday at USA Bowl. The Rangers, now 7-0 on the year, kept their unbeaten streak alive with several high scores and a pair of clutch performances in the Baker Games.
Senior
Parker Liening scored a team-high 202 in the first game of match play, cruising to a 369-248 win at second singles. Jesuit would capture four out of the five match points, securing the two-point aggregate with an 1,633-1,340 advantage. Senior
Will Bradford and junior
Silas Hartman jump started the Rangers with a narrow, 287-268 win in match play, as a 141 from Bradford and a 146 from Hartman was enough to tip the scales in the favor of the Blue and Gold.
Junior
Jack Holloran bowled a 157 and 169 to score a convincing, 326-177 dual match win as senior
Bryce Clark and freshman
Austin Montpas rolled respective scores of 139 and 159 to score the last of four victorious match points.
In baker games, Nimitz mounted a comeback with a 148-133 triumph in the opening roud. Jesuit clinched the victory with a 189-135 victory in the second game, capturing the aggregate, 490-458.
The Rangers will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. against L.D. Bell. Jesuit defeated the Blue Raider, 11-4, in the first meeting between the two teams on Dec. 8.
