Rahlfs' 42-Save Outing, Dragojevic's Hat Trick Sends Rangers Past Dragons

A hat trick by junior Seth Dragojevic highlighted another impressive offensive outing by the Jesuit Dallas hockey team as the Rangers defeated Southlake Carroll, 10-3, on Thursday at the Euless StarCenter. Jesuit earned its second straight double-digit scoring performance with the win as Dragojevic secured the Rangers' third hat trick over the last two weeks.

Junior James McCown and sophomore Matthew Craycraft scored two goals each for the Rangers as Nick Boss, Santiago Diaz and Chase Phillips closed out Jesuit's scoring column. Dragojevic concluded the game as the team's leading scorer with five points as Phillips and junior Miles Dikun added two assists each. Jack Rahlfs scored an assist alongside J.P. Moore, Chase Neel, Luke Skaggs and Derek Zhang. Rahlfs added 42 saves, stopping a Southlake Carroll offense that scored seven goals in the last meeting between the two teams on Nov. 14.

Southlake Carroll started the scoring at the 4:29 mark, but Jesuit scored five unanswered to take a commanding lead early in the second period. Dragojevic completed the hat trick with 1:09 remaining in the second period to send Jesuit into the second intermission with a 7-2 lead before Diaz and Phillips added power play goals to cap the Rangers' dominant performance. McCown scored Jesuit's final goal of the game with 40 seconds remaining in the third.

Jesuit will return to action after the Christmas break for a showdown with McKinney on Jan. 9. The Rangers have won both matchups against McKinney this season, scoring a 6-4 win on Oct. 17 before earning a 7-2 win on Nov. 21. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at the StarCenter in Richardson.
