James McCown over an eight-minute span late in the third period pushed Jesuit past Highland Park, 4-2, on Thursday at the Children's Health StarCenter on Sept. 26. The Rangers earn their first win of the season with the furious comeback as the Ranger defense shut out Highland Park in the second and third periods despite facing 32 shots over that span.

Dragojevic finished the bout leading the team with three points on a goal and two assists. Diaz added an assist on Boss' game-tying goal while Boss and McCown assisted on Dragojevic's tally in the third period. Senior

Highland Park (1-1-0) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of first period goals, scoring 45 seconds into he contest before netting its second goal of the game with 1:46 remaining in the period. Neither team scored in the second as the Rangers were outshot, 18-9, but the defense held firm.

The rally began with 8:41 remaining in the third period, when Dragojevic lit the lamp to finally get Jesuit on the board. On the ensuing faceoff, Dragojevic won the faceoff, passed to Diaz who found Boss to tie the game on a play that saw Jesuit score its second goal eight seconds after Dragojevic's tally. Diaz scored unassisted with 6:12 left to put the Rangers up by a goal before McCown clinched the win with the empty netter scored with 10 seconds remaining in regulation.

Jesuit enters the third week of the season in a four-way tie for second place in the AT&T Metroplex Hockey League. Southlake Carroll currently leads the division as Jesuit is tied with Highland Park, Frisco and Allen. The Rangers will next face Allen on Thursday to continue the 2019-20 season; puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Children's Health StarCenter in McKinney.
