The Jesuit Dallas bowling team clinched its second straight district championship and remained unbeaten on the year with a 14-1 win over L.D. Bell on Saturday in Wantaugh, Texas. The six senior members of the Jesuit Dallas bowling team, recognized by the Texas High School Bowling Association (THSBA) prior to the beginning of the match, responded with several strong performances as the Blue and Gold showed little rust despite competing in their first dual match in over a month.

In match play, the Blue and Gold bested the Blue Raiders, 889-721 and captured four of five head-to-head points to take a dominant, 6-1 lead into baker games. Jesuit was led by sophomore
Hayden Montpas, who rolled a 211 in his second game to overcome a 17-pin deficit en route to a 358-343 win against Bell's Logan Dazer. Senior
Matthew Vincent rolled the team's second-highest game of the afternoon, a 191 in the second game to earn a 288-171 match point win alongside classmate
Sam Sudderth.

Will Risinger bowled a 170 and 162 to secure a 332-282 win while classmate
Jack Corrales scored a 183 and 181 to earn a 364-276 win for Jesuit's final match point. Seniors
Silas Hartman and
Ethan Blum bowled respective scores of 138 and 144, but a team-high 226 from Bell's Ronello Jackson provided the opening for the Blue Raiders' lone match point.

Jesuit jumped out to a 25-pin lead after the first baker game then took a dominant lead with a 175-138 win in the second baker. The Rangers finished a 519-427 total victory with a 167-138 win in the third game to clinch the win.

The Rangers will return to action on Monday, Jan. 27 when the Blue and Gold host MacArthur at USA Bowl. The final home match of the 2019-20 season will begin at 6:30 p.m.
