A late third period goal by senior
Seth Dragojevic was not enough to overcome seven unanswered goals by Plano West as the Wolves defeated Jesuit, 7-1, on Thursday at the StarCenter in Plano.
Dragojevic scored unassisted in the third period, marking the second straight game that has seen the senior light the lamp. Dragojevic has scored in three of Jesuit's five games this season, and is currently second on the team with three points with two goals and an assist. Despite not scoring tonight, freshman
Charlie McCarthy still holds the team lead with six points on four goals and two assists, scoring all four goals on Oct. 15 against Denton County.
Sophomore
Arthur Trapp made 21 saves in the net as senior
William Carney added 14 stops. Plano West struck midway through the first period, cashing in on a 20-9 shot advantage to score four goals within the final nine minutes of the opening period, taking a 4-0 lead into the first intermission. After adding another insurance goal late in the second, the Wolves scored two power play goals in the third to take a 7-0 lead. Dragojevic scored with 4:07 left in the game, but the late spark was not enough to derail the Wolves' large lead.
Jesuit will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 5 against McKinney. Puck drop is scheduled for 9 p.m. from the McKinney StarCenter.
