The Ranger tennis team racked up another varsity sweep as the Blue and Gold picked up a 9-0 win over Nimitz on Tuesday in Irving, Texas. Jesuit picked a 12-1 overall victory over the Vikings and remain unbeaten on the year ahead of a three-match week.

Seniors
Jonathan Ardoin and
Carl Wilson teamed up for top-flight doubles, scoring a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Ardoin then remained unbeaten on the year in singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 win in second-flight singles. Ardoin has picked up a 4-0 record to jumpstart his senior season, all of which have come in the top three flights of the singles lineup. Wilson added a 6-2, 6-1 win in his second No. 1 singles match of the year, moving to 2-1 on the season and 1-1 in that slot.

The No. 2 doubles match saw seniors
Diego Elizondo and
Calum Taylor pick up a 6-3, 6-2 decision. Elizondo would continue his unbeaten start to the season and improve to 4-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 at third-flight singles, followed by a 6-2, 6-1 win by
Calum Taylor at the No. 4 singles spot that moved Taylor to 3-1 on the season.

Blake Woodard and Po Hsu Chen capped the doubles sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 win, which Woodard followed with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fifth-flight singles to remain undefeated with a 4-0 record. Junior
Joey Trigiani posted a 6-1, 6-0 win in singles to wrap the sweep.

Jesuit will begin a busy week at Berkner as the Blue and Gold will square off against the Rams at 4 p.m. on Oct. 13. The Rangers will then battle Nolan Catholic in Fort Worth on Oct. 15 before ending the week in Irving against the Tigers of Irving H.S. Jesuit's fall season will conclude on Oct. 20 against Richardson.
