Three unanswered goals and another resounding defensive effort propelled Jesuit to its third straight win, 4-1, over Allen on Thursday at the Richardson StarCenter. Jesuit will enter the final week of the regular season as the No. 2 seed in the varsity gold division and will play either Allen, Southlake Carroll or Highland Park in the first round of the AT&T Metroplex City Championship Tournament on Feb. 20.
 
Senior Chase Phillips and junior Seth Dragojevic joined sophomores Nick Boss and Santiago Diaz in the scoring column for the Rangers, as Dragojevic finished the team leading the team with three total points. Senior netminder Jack Rahlfs racked up 33 saves as Jesuit was able to kill off a pair of Allen power plays to help build a 2-0 lead in the second intermission.
 
Phillips scored Jesuit's first goal early in the first period, finding the back of the net off of a feed by sophomore Matthew Craycraft to give the Rangers an early, 1-0 lead. Boss added a goal late in the second period, lighting the lamp after feeds from senior Chase Peppard and Dragojevic to spot the Blue and Gold a two-goal advantage heading into the third period.
 
Diaz added Jesuit's third goal of the game five minutes into the third before Allen finally broke through with four minutes left in regulation. Dragojevic iced the game, scoring with 3:20 left.
 
Jesuit will close the regular season at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 against McKinney before heading into the postseason.
