Game Recap: Hockey - Varsity Gold |

Hockey Returns to Win Column With Shutout Win Over McKinney

Danny Myung scored a first period goal for Jesuit, handing the Rangers momentum in what would eventually become a 3-0 victory for the Blue and Gold against McKinney on Nov. 11 at the McKinney StarCenter. The win was an emphatic streak-snapper as Jesuit looks to build upon the win and reestablish themselves in the upper half of the AT&T Metroplex Hockey League Varsity Gold divisional standings.

Junior Kyle Hogan led the team with two points, scoring a short-handed goal with 11 seconds remaining in the third while assisting on Myung's second tally of the season. Hogan currently leads the Rangers in scoring with four goals and four assists, and is tied with senior Alec Rahlfs for the team lead in goals.

Rahlfs scored his fourth of the season seconds before Hogan put away McKinney, hitting an empty net shorthanded to give Jesuit a critical insurance goal late in the game. Senior Charlie Cohen picked up his team-leading sixth assist of the year on Myung's goal. Sophomore goalie Drew Zang earned his second win of the season with 21 saves on the night.

Jesuit will return to the ice on Nov. 18 when Jesuit will battle Flower Mound/Marcus at 8:30 p.m. in Plano.
