Senior MIles Dikun scored with 1:44 remaining in the third period as Jesuit Dallas came back to earn a point in the divisional standings, but ultimately lost, 2-1, in a shootout to Southlake Carroll on Thursday at the Euless StarCenter. The Rangers will enter the final week of league play four points behind Coppell for the final playoff spot in the division, and will play two games against Mansfield aiming to earn a spot in the AT&T Metroplex Hockey League playoffs.

William Carney recorded 37 saves to keep the Rangers in contention, providing the opening for the Rangers to score the equalizer late in the third period. Jesuit was outshot, 2-0 in the extra session, but Carney made two saves to push the game into the shootout. Dragojevic scored Jesuit's first penalty attempt, but Southlake stopped the Rangers, stopping their final two shootout attempts to win the contest.
Jesuit will return to the ice on Tuesday, Mar. 2 as the Rangers will battle Mansfield at 7 p.m. The Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) Division I State Tournament will begin on Thursday, March 4 as Jesuit will take on Allen at 8 p.m. in Plano, Texas. The Rangers will close out the busy week on Sunday with a 2:45 p.m. puck drop against Mansfield, a contest which will double as the team's senior night.
