Jesuit Dallas junior
Hayden Montpas concluded the Jesuit Dallas bowling season by competing at the Texas High School Bowling Club (THSBC) Region II Championships on Sunday, March 28 at the Plano Super Bowl. The Rangers closed out the regular season with a 5-3 record, dropping a pair of close matchups to Lewisville and Flower Mound Marcus.

Montpas closed out the regional tournament in 13th place, totaling an 869 at the regional tournament. The junior has continued to excel on the lanes, earning his third individual regional qualification, a run that included the Rangers' two state qualifying runs in 2019 and 2020. Montpas led the team with a 164.4 average this season, bowling a season-best 248 in the team's third game of the season against Nimitz while racking up three scores above 185.

The Rangers closed out the season with a 5-3 record following a pair of setbacks to close the season. Jesuit narrowly missed the qualification for the regional tournament after dropping a 9-6 decision to Lewisville on Mar. 20 and a 12-3 match to Flower Mound Marcus in the season finale on Mar. 22.

Against the Fighting Farmers, the Rangers were led by sophomore
Ryan Menke, who bowled a season-high 191 in the first game before adding a 146 in the nightcap for a 337-285 match play victory. Junior
Victor Martinez tacked on a season-high 160 in his first game, winning his match, 290-229. Lewisville won five points during match play and held the Rangers off with four points in baker games to halt the Jesuit rally.

Montpas finished his season with a 192 in the first game against Flower Mound Marcus and was one of three Rangers to pick up wins in match play. Sophomore
John Risinger won his match, 292-242, with a 144 in the opening round and a 148 in the nightcap, while Martinez finished the season with back-to-back wins with a 305-247 victory.
