Fifth Consecutive Sweep Sets Stage for Major District Showdown

2/18/2022 10:40:00 AM

The Jesuit Dallas bowling team stayed red-hot on Tuesday, winning its seventh straight match with a 15-0 sweep of Ursuline at USA Bowl. Ahead of Saturday's 9:30 a.m. showdown with Flower Mound Marcus, a bout that will likely determine the Rangers' postseason future, the Rangers continue a phenomenal end-of-season run that saw the Rangers secure five straight shutouts.

Sophomore Chase Hollman recorded Jesuit's top series of the match, recording a 384 with a 185 in game one and a team-high 199 in game two. Freshman John Golembeski (132) and sophomore Christopher Ellis (191) teamed up for a 323 in their dual match, as freshman Kevin Martinez tacked on a 317 series (157-160) for another dual win for the Rangers. Seniors William Mina (134) and Victor Martinez (167) capped the singles sweep with a 301 series. Jesuit dominated in the baker game, taking a 39-pin lead after game one and racing to a 504-355, match-closing victory.

Jesuit will compete in two matches on Saturday, first battling the Marauders at 9:30 a.m. before closing the regular season with a 1:30 p.m. showdown with Nimitz.
