Jesuit Dallas rebounded from a highly competitive match against Flower Mound Marcus with a 15-0 win over Nimitz on Saturday, Feb. 19 at USA Bowl. Finishing the regular season with a 9-3 record, the Rangers secured a berth in the THSBC Regional Championships, which are set to take place in early March.
The Rangers scored over 1,800 pins over two games as a team, but fell to a talented Marcus squad that will head to regionals as the top seed out of the district. Freshman
Kevin Martinez recorded a 406 for Jesuit's highest series of the match, and secured a 217 in his second game for Jesuit's highest game score. Senior William Mina finished match with a 383 (170-213) to secure Jesuit's second match point on the day. Marcus took a 5-2 lead into Baker Games, then won the first and second bakers to clinch the victory.
Against Nimitz,
Kevin Martinez bowled the team's best series of the season, recording a 412 (224-188) to help Jesuit to a dominant win in match play. Sophomore
Chase Hollman picked up a 309 (155-154) for Jesuit's second-highest score of the nightcap.
Prior to the beginning of Saturday's match, Jesuit Dallas recognized the three seniors of the bowling team as seniors

Jesuit will now head into the postseason, as the District Tournament will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26 at USA Bowl.
