Jesuit Dallas began the fall 2022 season with a 2-1 record at the Jesuit Invitational, hosted by the Rangers on Aug. 12-13 at the David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center. The Rangers began the Invitational with setbacks to Highland Park and Strake Jesuit but bounced back with a strong win over Denton Guyer.

Juniors
Dominic Arra and
Cole Kostos led the way for the Rangers against the Wildcats, scoring five goals apiece to lead the team. Arra would add three assists, tying junior Teddy Scherer for the team lead. Scherer would add two goals of his own as additional tallies were converted by junior Ben Eppich, junior Jack Schwetz and sophomore
Flyn Hughes. Junior Mack Frary would secure 12 saves on the day to help lead the Rangers to the win.

Arra and Scherer each recorded hat tricks for the Rangers against the Crusaders, but Strake was able to keep the Rangers at bay during a comeback attempt to secure a 13-9 win to close out the first day of competition. Schwetz added two goals to the Ranger effort as a tally by Hughes completed Jesuit's score column.

The Scots' high-powered offense proved too much for the Rangers to overcome, as Highland Park took the lead early and maintained the pace throughout the contest. Arra led the way with three goals on the afternoon, as Schwetz scored two, Scherer scored twice and Kostos scored once. Frary would add three saves to open the 2022 season while Eppich secured a team-high two steals. Assists were recorded by Arra, Eppich, Scherer, Schwetz and sophomore
Jackson Powell.

The Rangers will return to action at the Hebron Hawk Classic, set to begin on Friday, Aug. 19. Jesuit will compete in four games at the tournament, beginning with Friday matchups against Denton Ryan (6 p.m.) and Prosper (7:40 p.m.). Saturday showdowns will include matchups against Prosper Rock Hill (1:40 p.m.) and Rockwall (3:20 p.m.).
