Jesuit Dallas swept top-flight singles and doubles, picking up the top four singles wins en route to securing a 6-5 win over Frisco Wakeland on Friday at The Hockaday School. The Rangers improve to 6-1 on the year and will wrap a non-district double-header week with a showdown against Coppell on Friday.
The Rangers' top-tier doubles team of
Connor Cole and
Dillon Blanton picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win to help spark the Rangers as the duo of
Ben Woodard and
William Wayne gave Jesuit another boost in doubles with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-6, tiebreaker victory.
Mathis Valenta secured a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 1 singles to earn another key point for Jesuit, starting a run of sinles victories that included wins for Cole, Barron and Blanton.
Jesuit wil wrap up district play following the Friday showdown against Coppell. The Rangers, who are 5-1 against district competition, will battle Irving on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Irving H.S.
