Jesuit Dallas saw several strong scores on the lanes, but dropped a 14-1 bout to Lewisville, suffering its first loss of the 2022-23 season on Saturday at AMF Lewisville. The Rangers will continue the spring portion of their season with a 4-1 record, and will set their sights on a dual match against Lake Dallas on Jan. 21.
The Rangers' top scorer was
Chase Hollman, who bowled a 397 (188-209) to secure Jesuit's lone dual match point of the meet.
William Martin (166-172) dropped a narrow, 350-338 decision at second-flight singles,
John Risinger opened the day with a 192 before scoring a 142 in the second game in a 390-334 loss at No. 1 singles,
Kevin Martinez tacked on a 299 (163-136) and Jack Golembeski finished out the Jesuit lineup with a 315 (144-171).
In baker games, Jesuit fell behind the Farmers by 38 pins after game one, and were unable to secure a point over Lewisville as the Farmers eventually secured a 520-419 victory.
Jesuit's junior varsity team defeated Lewisville, 14-1. Match winners for the Rangers included
William Spicer with a 365 (204-161),
Corbin Hicks with a 288 (117-171),
Joseph Kohout (161) and
Pedro Rivera (80) with a split 241 series and the duo of
Leonardo Fernandez (104) and
Reo Mashburn (141), who teamed up for a match point victory.Â
The Rangers will return to USA Bowl for their 1:30 p.m. showdown against Lake Dallas on Saturday, Jan. 21.
