Jesuit Dallas secured four victories to start the 2023 season, securing a 4-1 record at the Keller Back to School Bash, which took place from Aug. 10-12 at Keller ISD Natatorium.
The Rangers dropped their first match-up of the season, 7-4, to Clear Creek. Freshman
Charlie Gall led the way for the Rangers with a hat trick in his varsity debut, while senior
Jack Schwetz scored the Rangers' final goal of the season-opener. Jesuit rebounded with a resounding, 11-3 win over St. Mark's to finish the first day of competition. Gall scored five goals, Schwetz added a hat trick and additional tallies were recorded by seniors

Flyn Hughes. Senior
Mack Frary earned his first win of the season with an eight-save performance.
Jesuit upended Guyer, 8-3 to start the final day of competition. Senior
Teddy Scherer secured a hat trick, Schwetz added two goals while Gall, senior
Cole Kostos and Arra each scored a goal. Frary would pick up 11 additional saves in the win. Jesuit would finish pool play in dramatic fashion with a 4-2 penalty victory over Flower Mound following a 9-9 tie in regulation. Frary made 10 saves in regulation and two stops during penalties that helped vault Jesuit to the win. Arra secured his first hat trick of the season, sophomore
Sam Kennington picked up two goals, Gall added two to his strong weekend total and Scherer capped the scoring for the Blue and Gold.

Scherer's second hat trick of the weekend in the Rangers' weekend finale, helping Jesuit upend Prosper, 8-5. Gall and Arra scored two goals apiece and an additional goal by Hughes completed the weekend scoring for Jesuit. Frary finished the weekend with 55 saves, and Gall recorded 13 goals to lead the team.

Jesuit will return to Keller ISD Natatorium on Tuesday, Aug. 22 to continue the non-district portion of the season against the Indians. First sprint is set for 7 p.m.
