Jesuit Dallas began the 2024-25 season with a dominant, 9-0 win over Irving on August 24. In a match rescheduled from its original date after excessive heat in the area, the Rangers rebounded with an early morning sweep to secure its first win over recently promoted head tennis coach Mallory Wainwright.

Brooks Spurgin and sophomore
Jack Hardy led the way with an 8-2 win at top flight, followed by an 8-6 victory from the No. 2 doubles team of senior
William Burns and sophomore
Branch Dallman and a 8-0 decision from sophomore
Benton Arthur and freshman
Charlie Kennington.

Spurgin won his top-flight singles match, 5-3, 1-4 (5-4), and Hardy captured a 4-2, 4-0 victory. Burns picked up a 4-2, 4-1 win, Dallman won his match, 4-1, 4-1, Arthur scored a 4-1, 4-0 victory and Kennington completed the sweep with a 4-1, 4-1 win.

The Rangers will continue district competition on Aug. 27, when Jesuit battles J.J. Pearce. First serve set for 3 p.m.
