The Jesuit Rangers split contests at the Strake Jesuit Tournament, falling short to Strake 17-11 before finishing the night with a 21-6 win against Houston Consolidated.

The Rangers bounced back from the tournament-opening setback against Houston Consolidated as freshman
Ivan Hernandez led the team with five goals. Close behind was junior captain
Jack Stevens, who commanded the two-meter line and scored four goals of his own. Sophomore
Sebastian Lazar led the Rangers with five assists while seniorÂ
Jackson Powell racked up with six blocks on 12 shots to secure the win in goal.

Jesuit started the tournament against the Crusaders, as sophomore
Charlie Gall led the squad with six goals, adding two assists. Senior
Alexander Adee matched Gall's team-leading assist with two assists of his own. Powell started in goal with four saves.

The Rangers will return to action on Saturday to close out the tournament. Jesuit will battle Clute Brazoswood at 11 a.m. before closing out the tournament with a battle against Clear Creek in the afternoon.
