DALLAS - The Jesuit Water Polo team suffered a 12-9 loss to Flower Mound Marcus in the area round of the UIL Playoffs at the David A Segal Family Aquatic Center on Friday.
The Rangers and Marauders went back and forth with big momentum swings in front a of a large crowd on the Jesuit campus.Â
Jesuit went ahead 3-2 after the first period before Marcus scored the only three goals of the second period to take a 5-3 lead. Marcus extended the lead to 8-4 before
Charlie Gall scored in the final minute of the third quarter. The Rangers pulled to within 10-9 with 1:55 to play but the Marauders scored in its next two possessions to pull away.
Gall and
Aiden Reardon each finished with four goals and two assists, while assisted on four scores with a goal of his own.
Cayden Bartusek stopped 15 shots in goal.
Jesuit ended the season with a third-consecutive trip to the area round of the postseason and a runner-up finish in District play. They finished with a 12-14-1 record.
