DALLAS - The annual celebration of Jesuit's rich athletic history returns to the Terry Center on Saturday, Nov. 15, as the Jesuit Dallas Alumni Association presents the 2025 Blue & Gold Banquet celebrating the Jesuit Dallas Sports Hall of Fame. The evening will feature the induction of three former Ranger greats: Kingsley Bryce '11 (Soccer), Darius Hill '15 (Baseball), and Bernie Lancaster '06 (Tennis). A special recognition is also planned to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the record-setting 2001 Jesuit Dallas Rugby season.
About the Inductees:
Kingsley Bryce's '11 impact on Jesuit Dallas soccer was both immediate and historic, as the fleet-footed and highly skilled forward scored a team-high 14 goals to help lead Jesuit Dallas to an undefeated season, a No. 1 national ranking, and the program's first UIL State Championship in 2010. Bryce was named UIL District MVP following the campaign. A key contributor for Dallas Texas Academy teams that won the prestigious North Texas Soccer State Cup and the US Youth Soccer National League Championship, Bryce took his talents to St. Louis University, where once again, his impact was immediate. Two weeks into his collegiate career, Bryce won A-10 Rookie of the Week honors after scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory over nationally ranked South Florida. He started all 17 games for the Billikens his freshman year and remained a fixture in the SLU lineup for the next three years. As a sophomore, Bryce scored game-winning goals in all three tournament games to lead the Billikens to a conference title while being named Most Outstanding Player of the A-10 Championships. His flair for the dramatic carried through the next two seasons, as eight of his 14 goals were game-winners, the highest total in the conference over that period. Earning Second Team All-Conference laurels during his junior season, Bryce was named CoSIDA Academic All-District and was one of 10 national finalists for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. After leading SLU to a pair of NCAA Championship Tournament appearances and a No. 8 national ranking, Bryce was drafted by the Chicago Fire in the second round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. He made his professional debut on June 13, 2015, with St. Louis FC of the USL.
Darius Hill '15 collected nearly every postseason accolade possible during his outstanding Jesuit baseball career, beginning with 2013
Dallas Morning News Newcomer of the Year honors and closing with a bevy of district, state, and national awards while leading the Rangers to their first UIL State Championship appearance in 2015. A three-time all-state selection and the 2015 Texas Sports Writers Association State Co-Player of the Year, Hill was a two-time UIL District Offensive MVP and a three-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American. He pieced together a devastating 2014 season during which he batted .534, while totaling 34 extra-base hits and 45 RBI, and earned recognition as a consensus All-American the following year after helping Jesuit clinch its sixth straight district crown while authoring a 25-game hit streak that stretched over two months. Leaving his mark with a .460 career batting average, Hill accepted a scholarship to West Virginia University where he developed into an all-time great for the Mountaineer program. As a four-year starting outfielder, Hill was a two-time ABCA East All-Region First Team selection, three-time All-Big 12 pick, and a three-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree. During his senior year, he was named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team. Hill graduated from WVU as one of the baseball program's most accomplished athletes, and still holds the University records for games played (235), career starts (235), at bats (941), and doubles (79), while ranking second in career extra-base hits (106), second in singles (199), third in total bases (454), fourth in runs scored (176), and sixth in RBI (163). Hill was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2019 MLB Draft and has shined for both the Knoxville Smokies (AA) and Iowa Cubs (AAA) while continuing to pursue his dream of playing in the majors.
Bernie Lancaster '06 helped assert Jesuit's competitive pedigree by leading the Rangers to four consecutive UIL District Tennis team championships to begin the modern era of Jesuit Athletics. Lancaster was the district singles champion three consecutive years (2005-07), and during a spectacular sophomore season, became the first Jesuit tennis player to qualify for the UIL State Championships. Only eight players across Texas qualify for the state singles championships each year, and after replicating the feat as a junior and senior, Lancaster remains the only player in program history to earn a coveted state berth three times. During his senior season, he qualified for the USTA Boys' 18 National Championships and played for a chance to earn a wild card at the U.S. Open. Presented by USTA Texas with the 2006 Art Foust Sportsmanship Award, Lancaster was spectacular on the hardcourt and carried his outstanding career at Jesuit into a highly successful run at St. Edward's University. A four-year member of the Hilltopper program where he racked up 69 wins across singles and doubles play, Lancaster was a three-time All-Heartland Conference selection (2008-10) and helped the team finish inside the top 20 in the ITA Division II National Rankings all four years. He won the clinching match in the 2010 NCAA South Central Regional en route to an appearance in the Elite 8, and a tie for the program's best-ever national finish.
