LEWISVILLE, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas water polo team dropped a pair of games on the final day of the Texas Cup to finish in fourth place. The Rangers lost to Pearland Foster, 23-18, in the semifinals and then dropped another close contest to Marcus, 14-13, in the third place game.

The Foster game went back and forth in the opening period with the score at 5-5. But the Falcons scored on their first seven possessions of the second period to pull out to a 12-5 lead. The Rangers scored the game-final five goals to close to within 23-18 at the final buzzer. Senior Charlie Gall and junior Aidan Reardon each scored four goals for Jesuit.

In the third place game against the Marauders, Junior Tamer Nino led the team with five goals, while sophomore Jamie Tison made 11 saves in goal. Jesuit led for much of the opening half before Marcus took the lead in the third quarter. With the scored tie at 13, the Marauders scored the game winner with 2:12 remaining. Neither team was able to score after that.

The Rangers (4-5) will return to action on Tuesday eventing when they play host to Hebron at the Segal Family Aquatic Center. First sprint is at 5 p.m.
