FORT WORTH, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas golf team opened the high school golf season with a wire-to-wire win at the Bart Granger Memorial at Pecan Valley Golf Course on Friday and Saturday.

Jesuit claimed the tournament title with a 36-hole score of 6-under-par 284-278=562. The Rangers bested the rest of the 52-team field by 15 shots, with tournament-host Fort Worth Paschal in second place at 577 total. Jesuit has won the tournament three times in the last five years.

Junior Jackson Straley blistered the Hills Course on Friday with a 66 that saw him make seven birdies. He added four more on the River Course on Saturday for an even-par 70. He finished tied for second overall with a 136 total. Sophomore Michael Nadeau shot 70-69=139 and tied for sixth.

Senior Jonah Fahrenbruch, junior Dexter Zimmerman and sophomore Jack Brown all tied for 17th with a 144 total.
