Ryan Menard is entering his 37th season coaching high school wrestling and his 23rd season as Head Wrestling Coach at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. Menard joined Jesuit in 2004 and has led the Rangers wrestling program for more than two decades.
During his tenure at Jesuit, Menard has coached numerous wrestlers to the UIL State Wrestling Championships, including Alex Rinaldi, a state champion, and recent state qualifiers Kingston Stephens, Logan Mezger, Shane Ross, and Nick Barker. Stephens competed at 106 pounds in 2025 and 113 pounds in 2026, finishing third at state as a junior and state runner-up as a senior.
The 2026 Rangers finished 9–3 in dual competition, placed fourth at the district tournament, and qualified eight wrestlers for the regional tournament. Menard has built the program around technical development, tactical intelligence, competitive toughness, and character, emphasizing the development of young men both on and off the mat.
Menard's success at Jesuit is part of a coaching career that spans 37 seasons and five schools. Prior to joining Jesuit, he coached and taught at Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City, Iowa; Mid-Buchanan High School in Missouri; Dakota Valley High School in South Dakota; and Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas.
Over his career, Menard has coached five individual state champions who have combined for seven state championships. In addition to Rinaldi at Jesuit, his state champions include two-time Iowa state champion Andy Krueger, Jader Martinez, Greg Cook, and Jake Cook.
Beyond wrestling, Menard is an active member of the Jesuit community. He assists with the freshman football program and works with the Jesuit Operations team, assisting with campus security and other operational responsibilities.
