Jason Gall

Gall joined Jesuit Dallas in 2021 as the head water polo coach and aquatics director at Jesuit Dallas, bringing untenable knowledge and a proven track record of success at the high school and collegiate level to one of the nation's top high school aquatic facilities. Since his arrival, Gall has taken the Jesuit Dallas water polo program to unprecedented and historic heights.

Helping marshal Jesuit into the University Interscholastic League (UIL) era, Gall helped lead Jesuit to its first UIL district championship, first UIL playoff berth and first UIL playoff victory during the 2023 season, and brought the Rangers to the second round of the UIL playoffs in 2024. In addition, Gall has mentored student-athletes to historic firsts, as the Jesuit Dallas program earned the first all-state award in program history after the 2024 season as Charlie Gall '28 was named to the TISCA All-State honorable mention team.

Gall arrived at Jesuit from Bakersfield, California, where he was the aquatics director and head boys and girls water polo coach for Garces Memorial High School. During his time with the Rams, Gall posted a combined record of 120-48-1 over four years, including a 68-19-1 record as the boys’ team head coach. Over his impressive run, Gall won two Central Section Division II Championship titles (2017, 2018) and led the team to the state semifinals of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), California’s equivalent to the UIL, in 2017 and 2019.

Prior to his tenure at Garces, Gall coached at NCAA Division I California State University Bakersfield, where he became the winningest head coach in the history of the Roadrunners’ women’s water polo program. During his 10-year tenure at CSU-Bakersfield, Gall coached six All-Americans, was named the 2009 Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Coach of the Year and led the Roadrunners to the highest conference championship finish in program history. Gall’s first NCAA Division I stop was at Brown University, where he coached the men’s and women’s water polo programs from 2005-07 and built the women’s program into a nationally ranked squad.

Gall began his college coaching career at Pomona-Pitzer, where he won the 2003 NCAA Division III Coach of the Year award after capturing a national title with the Sagehens and turned around a program with a 9-14 record during his first year into a team that made back-to-back national championship appearances and went 45-16 over his final two seasons.

Additionally, Gall has consistently been a fierce advocate of the sport, which will pay dividends for the Jesuit Dallas water polo team with the sport’s integration into the UIL on the horizon. While in Bakersfield, Gall spearheaded the development of the Bakersfield Water Polo and Swim Club Team from its inception into a group that supported over 100 members and competed at the National Junior Olympics every year since 2007.

As part of his responsibilities, Gall is also charged with the maintenance and coordination of the newly constructed David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center, a 29,000-square foot, state-of-the-art natatorium which will serve as the new home for Jesuit’s swimming and diving and water polo programs. In addition, the facility, nicknamed “The Gull”, will provide numerous benefits to the Jesuit Dallas student community as a space for injury rehab, endurance and flexibility training, learn-to-swim programs, scuba certification instruction and lifeguard training and certification.

Jason and his wife, Morgan, have two children: Charlie and Kaia.
