Shepherd earned the win on the mound for the Rangers on Friday, throwing 4.2 innings of no-hit work to allow Jesuit the space needed to secure a 6-2 win over Sachse in 11 innings during a must-win situation during the bi-district round. Shepherd struck out two batters, forced seven fly outs, four ground outs and retired the final 11 batters in order, only allowing one runner aboard during the inning.
