MacArthur's 69-30 victory puts the Cardinals in second place in District 9-6A, but will not affect Jesuit's playoff eligibility or seeding; Jesuit still controls the top seed in Division II.
The Rangers (6-3, 4-2) got on the board first as Schneider found Garrett Amy in the end zone on a 4th-and-16 snap. Amy had two TD receptions on the night, and totaled 120 yards on four catches, which brings the senior beyond the 1000-yard threshold for the season. Charlie Eikenberg also caught a touchdown, bringing his season total to nine TDs and 570 yards. Peter Lynch caught his sixth TD of the year, and is now just six yards shy of the 500 mark.
MacArthur's Artiss Henderson impressed with five rushing touchdowns on the evening. Quarterback Kane Hardin threw for four TDs. MacArthur (6-3, 5-1) will reach the playoffs as the lower seed in Division I.
Jesuit's Schneider upped his season total to 35 touchdowns through the air, which leads all quarterbacks from all classifications in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Junior Connor Lanpher also hit his first field goal of the year for Jesuit. The Rangers close out the regular season on Thursday, Nov. 6, as they take on R.L. Turner at Standridge Stadium.
