Three members of the Jesuit Dallas hockey squad found the back of the net, but a late rush by Plano West Wolves forced a shootout, and the Wolves ultimately defeated the Rangers, 4-3, on Thursday evening at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano, Texas.

Nicholas Gibbs, Louis Helsen IV and Bryce Clark tallied a goal each, with Gibbs adding an assist on Helsen's goal to finish the contest leading the team in the scoring column.  Carson Platt and Nicholas Colombo also picked up assists, while Ranger goalie George McBey made 24 stops in net.  The Rangers (4-2-0-2) outshot the Wolves, 44-27.

With 9:54 remaining in the first period, Gibbs notched his second goal of the season even strength to open the scoring.  After watching the Wolves tie the game, 1-1, with 6:22 remaining on the first period clock, the Ranger sstruck for a pair of unanswered goals in the second to take a two-goal lead into the third.  Helsen struck first four minutes into the period, notching his fourth goal and eighth point of the season before Clark notched his first goal of the season with 5:57 remaining on the second period clock.

Plano West held the Rangers scoreless in the third, scoring a pair of goals over the last 10 minutes of regulation to force overtime.  The Rangers fired six shots in the extra session, but were unable to find the back of the net, sending the contest to a decsive shootout.  Jesuit Dallas was shut out in the finale of Thursday's battle, with a fourth-round goal by Plano West's Justin Piel pushing the hosting Wolves to the win.

The Rangers will next battle Plano East/Lovejoy on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Richardson.
