Assured of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 9-6A Championship, the Jesuit Dallas football squad ended the 2015 regular season campaign on a historical note, ending league play unbeaten after a convincing, 53-13, homecoming triumph over R.L. Turner on Friday night at Postell Stadium. The victory ends the Ranger regular season, with the Blue and Gold posting a 9-1 record.
The Rangers wasted little time, scoring 36 first quarter points en route to the victory. Closing out the contest with 390 total yards of offense, Jesuit Dallas was sparked by senior
Adam Holtz, who ran for a team-leading 99 yards and two touchdowns. Holtz notched his first two-touchdown game since the squad's 40-0 win over Irving on Oct. 9, Holtz broke off a 48-yard touchdown run at the end of the first quarter that is the second longest scoring play of the season for the Rangers.

The Rangers took the opening kickoff 63 yards in 2:07 on their opening drive, culminating in a touchdown pass from Palisch to Lanpher to open the scoring. A quick three-and-out by R.L. Turner was answered by a six play, 50-yard drive that resulted in another touchdown. After a downfield pass by Palisch was caught by Lanpher for a 31-yard gain, Loughborough put the finishing touches on the Rangers' second touchdown with a two-yard plunge up the middle.
Koehler made his presence known on the ensuing Lions drive, picking off quarterback Juan Weaver at the R.L. Turner 33, scrambling across the field before getting knocked out of bounds at the 20-yard line, putting the Rangers in great field position. Four plays later, Holtz ran into the end zone from the five-yard line untouched to further bolster the Jesuit Dallas advantage. After forcing another Lions punt, Palisch found Landon on a picture perfect post route from 14 yards out, increasing the lead to 29-0.
With 1:45 remaining in the first quarter, Holtz took the first play of Jesuit's fifth and final drive of the first quarter 48 yards up the middle, shaking off tackles at the second level en route to an incredible, 48-yard scramble to increase the lead to 36-0.
Evan Jackson rushed for 23 yards on the Rangers' next drive before scoring his sixth touchdown of the season from six yards out. A 36-yard field goal by senior
John Wengierski finished the scoring for the first half, sending the Blue and Gold into the locker room with a comfortable, 46-0 advantage.
Turner scored touchdowns after a long, second-half opening drive and a 65-yard fourth quarter punt return by Alexis Castellanos, but the Rangers would not be denied from scoring in the second half. On second and seven from the R.L. Turner 33-yard line, senior
Mack Wageman quickly passed the ball to junior
Connor Jackson, who accelerated on the edge and ran into the end zone with 48 seconds remaining in the fourth, increasing the Ranger advantage to 40 points and providing a proper bookend to the Rangers' homecoming celebration.
