The Jesuit Dallas defense limited the Lions (2-14, 0-5 UIL) to 13-of-32 from the field and 3-of-8 from beyond the arc, out-rebounding R.L. Turner, 27-17. In comparison, the Blue and Gold recorded its second field goal percentage of the season, adding nine second chance points off of eight offensive boards.

The Rangers forced five Lions turnovers in the second to take a 19-point lead into halftime, capped with a layup by Prendergast with 18 seconds remaining in the half. R.L. Turner opened the third quarter shooting 3-of-5 and burying a pair of three-pointers to whittle the Jesuit Dallas lead to 17 points. However, the Rangers went on a 17-4 run that spanned the end of the third quarter to midway through the fourth to take a 60-30 lead.
