Nicholas Colombo,
Christopher Black and
Matthew Wrobel.
Black added an assist to finish with two points, while
Anthony Calabrese logged two assists for the Blue and Gold.
Bryce Clark and
Carson Platt finished the game with assists for Jesuit, sparking the Rangers to a season-high scoring output.
Jesuit netminder
Royce Allred made 16 saves, withstanding a late bevy of shots from the desperate Dragons (0-4). The Rangers began to grip momentum with 10 shots in the second period, scoring two goals within two minutes to knot up the bout.
The Dragons opened the scoring with 55 seconds left in the first quarter, tacking on a second goal 47 seconds into the second. Colombo found twine for the first time this season on the power play to start the scoring for Jesuit, followed by an equalizing goal by Black, his second goal of the year. The Dragons took the lead back with 53 seconds left in the second, but Clark found Wrobel 24 seconds later to tie the game again headed into the intermission.
Jesuit lit the lamp 17 seconds into the third to take the lead, moving ahead of the Dragons after Ngov's first goal of the 2016-17 campaign, assisted by Platt. Ngov struck again with 9:14 remaining, sending a pass from Calabrese and Black into the back of the net to provide Jesuit a two-goal cushion.
Southlake Carroll scored with 7:52 remaining, but Allred and the Jesuit defense held the Dragons in check down the stretch to secure the win.
The Rangers will next take on Denton County at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Farmers Branch.
