Jesuit's three-point shooters had a Tuesday to remember, burying 28 three-pointers over two games en route to sweeping the second day of the 2016 Lone Star Shootout in Frisco, Texas. The Rangers logged their second-highest point total of the
Chris Hill era in a convincing, 91-60 win over Trinity Christian from Lubbock, Texas, closing the Lone Star classic with a 78-57 triumph over OKC Storm.

Leading, 28-16 at the end of the first quarter, the Rangers scored the first seven points of the second, using a 20-6, quarter opening run to take a 26-point lead with 3:27 left in the half. A jumper by Abmas with five seconds left in the half propelled Jesuit to a 58-31 lead at the break. In the second half, the Rangers used a 12-point run to put the game out of reach, finishing their first battle shooting 13-of-26 from three-point range, adding 36 points in the paint and 27 points off of 15 Trinity Christian turnovers.

Against OKC Storm, Abmas scored a team-high 15 points, leading a platoon of four Rangers to notch double-digit outings. Senior
Jeff Grimes logged the first double-digit game of his career with 11 points, while Jankovich and Hill added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Hatzmann tacked on another six assists, while Grimes snagged a team leading four rebounds. Â Jesuit once again dominated outside the arc, hitting 11 three-pointers in the first half and finishing the game 15-of-22.

Two threes from Hill and another by Jankovich sparked a 22-6 run, giving Jesuit its first double digit lead of the game with 6:54 left in the second. The Ranger defense held the OKC Storm offense in check early in the second half, holding the opposition without a basket until the 2:46 mark of the third quarter while building up a 23-point lead, holding off a fourth quarter push to remain unbeaten.

Next, Jesuit will break for the Thanksgiving holiday, then return to action on Tuesday, November 29 against Plano East at Walsh Gymnasium before hosting the 2016 Knights of Columbus/Bob Strass Tournament on Thursday, December 1, leading off against Frisco Heritage at 7:30 p.m.
