Timberview scored seven unanswered points to begin the game before a pair of threes by Hill and a layup by Palisch tied the game at 8-8 with 13 seconds remaining in the first. The two teams battled through the second half, but Prendergast converted the final bucket with two seconds left in the second quarter to send the Wolves into halftime with a slim, two-point lead.
Â
A three-pointer by Prendergast 23 seconds into the third handed Jesuit its first lead of the ballgame, an advantage that the team was able to blossom to a three-point lead with an 11-4 run spanning the senior's second-quarter ending shot to the 4:35 mark of the third. Timberview attempted to grab hold of the game late in the third, even leading by three heading into the fourth with a 13-9 run to end the quarter, but the Rangers stayed in the hunt and began their comeback attempt early in the final quarter.
Â
Junior
Keagan Nwosu converted a layup six seconds into the quarter to kickoff an 11-3 run that spanned nearly seven of the fourth quarter's eight minutes and swung the momentum permanently in the favor of the Blue and Gold. Jesuit shot 4-of-8 during that stretch, which included four points from Nwosu, and forced three Timberview turnovers. Hatzmann scored a breakaway layup off an inbounds pass from Prendergast with 13 seconds left to ice the Jesuit victory.
