Jesuit Dallas saw an early 1-0 lead dissipate to Plano West in a 7-4 setback on Oct. 12 at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Richardson. The Wolves came storming back after being shut out in the first with three unanswered goals in the second and four unanswered tallies in the third to stop the Rangers from obtaining their first winning streak of the young 2017-18 season.
Â
Matthew Wrobel scored his first goal of the season to jump-start the Ranger effort in the first period before
Bryce Clark notched his team-leading fourth goal of the year in the second. Seth Dragojevic and James Berg added late third period goals to make a late comeback push, but fell short to the salvo of Plano West goals in the latter two periods.
Â
Jesuit goalie
Royce Allred made 31 saves for the Rangers, moving his total on the season so far to 99 over three games. Plano West outshot Jesuit, 38-21, including a 15-shot third period that resulted in the deciding goal differential. The Rangers had several man-up opportunities, but were unable to light the lamp on the power play.
Â
In addition to the Rangers that landed on the scoring column,
Nicholas Gibbs added a pair of assists to lead the Blue and Gold. Brenden Gibbs and
Chase Phillips also added goals to the Jesuit effort.

On Thursday, Oct. 19, the Rangers will take on Frisco at 7 p.m. at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Frisco, Texas.
