Smith, one of five carries on the drive for the electric sophomore. Towns scored on a two-point conversion to give Jesuit the lead with 2:53 remaining in the first quarter.

  • The Lobos scored again on their ensuing drive, building a 13-point lead with another touchdown to open the second quarter. Longview built the lead to 27 after scoring on drives secured by back-to-back Jesuit Dallas turnovers, taking a 35-8 lead with 3:06 left in the half.

  • Towns broke the Rangers' scoring skid with a five-yard plunge on fourth and goal to make the halftime score 35-14 in favor of the Lobos.

  • The Rangers opened the second half with a 12-play, 51-yard drive that was punctuated by Smith's second touchdown of the contest and 26th rushing touchdown of the year. Facing only a two-possession deficit Jesuit looked poised for a comeback until Longview scored another long touchdown on the second play of its ensuing drive to return the lead to 21 points.

  • Priddy scored his eighth rushing touchdown of the season to kick off the fourth quarter for the Rangers, snagging a six-yard touchdown reception on the Rangers' next drive. Towns completed the Rangers' scoring with a 61-yard touchdown toss to Rosenbleeth with 1:25 remaining in the bout, but Longview scored 21 points in the third quarter and 19 points in the fourth to end Jesuit's season.
