Three unanswered goals from an offensively-charged McKinney offense halted a three-game winning streak for Jesuit as the Rangers suffered a 4-2 setback on Thursday evening. A game-opening tally and first intermission lead by the Rangers were eradicated as McKinney scored a pair of second period goals en route to the victory.

McKinney controlled the pace during the first few minutes of the contest, but McCown put the Rangers up with a slapshot from the blue line that snuck past the McKinney netminder for the game-opening goal. The Rangers earned the first power play of the game with five minutes remaining in the first but team found twine down the stretch of the first period as the Rangers were outshot, 9-3 by McKinney but were able to take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Â
The Rangers were limited to two shots in the second period while McKinney took 11 shots, scoring twice within a 52-second span to take a 2-1 lead. McKinney appeared to take a two-goal lead into the second intermission, but a goal scored with 0.4 seconds remaining in second was waved off due to the goal coming off the moorings. The McKinney run expanded into the third period as the visitors built a 4-2 lead by scoring two additional goals at the 11:17 and 8:47 mark of the third.
Â
Rahlfs notched his first varsity goal with 51 seconds remaining in regulation to spot the Rangers their second goal of the contest, but McKinney was able to derail the Ranger comeback attempt.

Jesuit will return to the ice on Thursday, November 1 against Plano West. The Rangers and Wolves will battle at 7 p.m.
