Jesuit Closes Season With Four-Goal Victory

Jesuit Dallas hockey closed the regular season with a 7-3 win over Southlake Carroll on Thursday at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Richardson, Texas. The Rangers closed the regular season on a two-game winning streak, outscoring opponents, 12-6.
 
The Rangers out-shot Southlake Carroll, 40-18, and watched seven different memebers of the program light the lamp. Chase Phillips kicked off the contest with a goal 53 seconds into the opening period before Joseph Van Beek struck at the 3:22 mark to lead Jesuit to a 2-0 lead. Tallies from Seth Dragojevic and Matthew Wrobel closed Jesuit's run of four unanswered goals before Southlake Carroll scored at the 14:21 mark of the second for its first goal of the game.
 
Nicholas Zang scored his first goal of the season with 8:15 left in the second to return Jesuit to a four goal lead before JonMikal Dragojevic repeated the feat at the 7:39 mark after the Dragons found twine on the power play. Despite Southlake Carroll scoring a goal with 2:28 left in regulation, Jesuit clinched the win with an empty net goal with 43 seconds remaining, scored by Anthony Calabrese.
 
Jesuit goalie Caden Rupnow picked up the victory with 15 saves to secure his second varsity win of the campaign.
