Jesuit Dallas punched its ticket to the UIL Region 2-6A Area Round with a convincing, 63-47 win over Lakeview Centennial on Tuesday evening at Naaman Forest H.S. The Rangers will next College Park in the second round of the playoffs on Friday evening at a time and place to be determined.

Michael Jankovich led the way with a double-double, with 30 points and 10 rebounds. The senior hit 11-of-15 shots and buried six three-pointers. Fellow senior
Keagan Nwosu converted 5-of-7 shots for 10 points while senior
Reid Hatzmann led the squad with nine assists. The Rangers shot 57.5 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from range to clinch the victory.

- The two teams battled out of the gate, with Jesuit Dallas securing a 12-8 lead after the first quarter. Jankovich scored eight of the team's first 12 points while Lakeview Centennial hit a pair of three-pointers in the opening stanza.t

- The Rangers scored four points in the final minute of the first before back-to-back three-pointers from Jankovich spotted Jesuit a 10-point lead with 6:42 remaining in the first half. In total, a 16-3 run in which Jesuit shot 5-of-6 from the floor and 3-of-4 from behind the arc resulted in a 13-point lead for the Blue and Gold, capped by a traditional three-point play that provided Jankovich with his 20th point of the contest.
