A 27-point first quarter and double-double from senior
Joey Preboy propelled the Jesuit Dallas Rangers to a convincing, 87-46 win over Berkner on Feb. 6. Jesuit heads into the final week of the regular season with a 9-3 record, a playoff berth assured and an opportunity for the third UIL District Championship in program history.

Keagan Nwosu led the charge with 16 points apiece, anchoring a Jesuit Dallas offensive contingent that shot 71.4 percent in the first half en route to taking a 53-19 lead into the break. Junior

How it Happened

- Jesuit built a nine-point lead to start the game, holding Berkner without a bucket until the 5:11 mark of the first quarter. A layup by Preboy would send Jesuit to a double-digit lead, one that the Blue and Gold would not relinquish for the remainder of the contest. By the end of the first, Jesuit would hold a 16-point lead following a dominant quarter punctuated by a three-pointer from Hill as the buzzer sounded.

- The Rangers continued their run with a 20-5 run capped by a three- pointer from Hollerich for a 31-point lead with 2:44 remaining in the quarter. Back-to-back three-pointers from Hill send Jesuit into the break with a 34-point advantage to complete a dominant quarter for the Blue and Gold.

- In the second half, the Rangers kept the pressure on, building a game-high 42-point lead with 1:47 left in the third after a traditional three-point play from Nwosu. The Rangers led by 35 points or more during the entire fourth quarter to clinch the dominant win.
