Game Recap: Hockey - Varsity Gold |

Frisco Snaps Jesuit's Winning Streak in Overtime

A goal by junior Seth Dragojevic tied the game late in the third period, but Frisco scored an overtime goal 31 seconds into the extra session to snap Jesuit's four-game winning streak, 2-1, on Thursday at the Plano StarCenter. The Rangers fall to 4-2 on the year but earn a critical point in the standings by forcing overtime against the reigning TAHA Blended State Champions.

Dragojevic scored his sixth goal of the season with 5:58 remaining in the third after Frisco broke the scoreless tie with a tally at the 7:12 mark. Sophomore Santiago Diaz assisted on Dragojevic's goal, pushing his point streak to five games in the process. Since playing Highland Park on Sept. 26, Diaz has racked up nine points on four goals and five assists. Junior Jack Rahlfs returned to the goal crease after two weeks off, securing 34 saves during the contest.

Jesuit Dallas will return to action on Oct. 31 against Highland Park. In the first meeting between the Rangers and the Scots this season, Jesuit scored four unanswered goals in the third period to secure its first win of the season, 4-2. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at the StarCenter in Richardson.
