Jesuit converted 25-of-29 clear opportunities while Canisius was held to a 17-of-22 clip as Jesuit forced three failed clears in a first quarter which saw the Blue and Gold take a 4-0 lead. In addition, Jesuit scored on three man-up opportunities in the first half.

Jackson opened the scoring with an unassisted goal 56 seconds into the opening quarter. Jesuit would take a 4-0 lead into the second after two goals by Buell and another tally by Rilley. Rose would add his first goal of the game two minutes into the second quarter to cap a five-goal, game-opening run by the Rangers. At the end of the first half, two goals from Jackson and Teachout's first goal of the game sent the Blue and Gold into halftime with a 10-1 lead.

Teachout scored his second goal of the game 26 seconds into the third quarter before Canisius went on a run of five unanswered goals to cut into the Jesuit lead, reducing the Ranger advantage to five with 3:03 left in the quarter. Hovivian found Jackson for a goal with three seconds remaining, stopping the run and spotting Jesuit a six-goal advantage heading into the fourth. Rose and Buell added fourth quarter insurance goals to help Jesuit clinch the victory.

Vs. Gonzaga

Teachout led the way with three goals and Jesuit out-shot Gonzaga, 30-19, but the Eagles used a three-goal lead in the first quarter to hold off the Rangers en route to the win. Jesuit lost the faceoff battle to Gonzaga, 12-7 but went a perfect 14-for-14 in clear attempts while securing 14 ground balls.

Rilley, Jackson, Metz and sophomore Henry Suarez added goals for the Rangers while Rilley led the team with two assists.
